The last page turn of every Kindle book automatically pulls up the "Before You Go" screen allowing readers to immediately rate a book. In addition to rating a book, readers can share a book with social networks like Facebook and Twitter, review a book on Amazon, and receive personalized recommendations on what to read next. "Before You Go" is also available for Amazon Prime members reading books from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library (KOLL).
"Before You Go" is available on the latest-generations (3rd and newer) Kindle tablets, select Kindle e-Ink devices, and Kindle App for IOS It is not currently offered with the Kindle Cloud Reader or Kindle for PC/Mac or the Kindle App for Android. You can reach this page without a wireless connection, but you will not be able to reach the store until you are back online.
The "Before You Go" page also links to a list on the books' detail page with reading suggestions for readers based on other books they've bought. The lists are split into two categories; "More by this Author" (where the author is the same), and "Customers Who Bought Also Bought" (where the author is different). Books already owned by the reader will be excluded from the suggestions.
You may not see every available book appear in the "More By this Author" list every time. For instance, if the reader finishes a book but no customers have ever purchased both that book and the other books by that same author, you won't see those other books displayed in the list.
"Before You Go" gives you an opportunity to reach more readers which can lead greater exposure and an increase in sales.
